Privacy Policy

Information we receive

An inquiry includes your name, email address, message, and any optional phone number or property reference you provide. We also record whether you request property updates and, if you do, the request time and signup wording. We receive the form location and relevant property or entry-point context to understand your request. Please do not include financial account information, identification documents, or other sensitive information in this form.

Website requests disclose technical information such as an IP address and browser information to the services handling the request. The inquiry endpoint uses temporary keyed limits to help prevent abuse. Our hosting and email providers may also keep technical and service records under their own practices.

How we use and handle inquiries

We use inquiry information to understand your request, answer your questions, and continue property discussions with you. Inquiry emails are kept in our Google email account. A private Google Sheet operated by our Google script stores the inquiry reference, original property or form page, contact details, delivery status, optional update requests, confirmation and unsubscribe status, timestamps, and signup wording. We retain consent and opt-out history to respect your choices. Operational inquiry content can be cleared after seven days through maintenance; email records remain subject to our email retention practices. We do not currently use a full CRM.

We do not sell leads or share them with other businesses for their own marketing. Our hosting and email service providers process information as needed to operate the website and deliver and store inquiries. Information may also need to be disclosed when required by law.

Sending an inquiry alone does not subscribe you to promotional emails. If you check the optional box, we record your request to receive property updates and offers from Look for Lots. We ask you to confirm using a link emailed to you automatically. You join the update list only after completing that confirmation. Without confirmation, you are not subscribed. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours.

Your browser tab keeps a private inquiry recovery code so Check status can read the existing result without sending it again. We also use short-lived first-party cookies to show your confirmation result when you return to the original page. These support the form and are separate from optional Analytics and embedded services.

Optional updates and your choices

A standalone land-alert signup records your first name, email, selected states and any specific property you choose to follow, together with the exact signup wording, request and confirmation times, private receipt and delivery status. General land alerts cover new listings, price reductions and occasional offers in your selected states. Following a property covers its price reductions and availability changes; general alerts require a separate choice. We keep these choices in our private Google records. You must explicitly confirm using the emailed link before alerts start. Merely opening a confirmation or unsubscribe page makes no change.

Your browser tab can keep a private land-alert receipt code to check the same request without sending it again. Email link tokens are not saved in browser storage. Land-alert unsubscribe stops all promotional property emails for that address. An earlier signup link cannot undo an opt-out. Contact us for help signing up again after opting out.

After confirming a new land-alert request or secure management link, you can use a private browser session to follow more properties and change your alerts without a password. An essential, HttpOnly cookie identifies that session; it is separate from optional Analytics. A normal session expires after 24 hours and is a browser-session cookie. Choosing Remember this device permits up to 30 days. We retain hashed session identifiers, expiry/revocation records and explicit preference change history. Forget this device revokes its session; global opt-out invalidates earlier sessions and signup links. Email tokens are not saved in browser storage. A new device must verify access by email.

Email me property updates and promotional offers from Look for Lots. We’ll email you a confirmation link. You’ll receive updates only after confirming. Unsubscribe at any time.

After you confirm, we may send property news and promotional offers to your email address. We keep your request, the signup wording, and confirmation time as evidence of your choice. You can unsubscribe using the link provided with our emails or by emailing guilherme@lookforlots.com. We stop promotional emails when you opt out and keep the minimum record needed to respect your choice. You can still ask about a property without requesting updates.

If we begin using a CRM, we will update this policy to explain how it stores and processes information before introducing it. We do not sell leads or share them for another business’s marketing.

External images, videos, and links

Our logo and property photos load from this website. YouTube thumbnails and embedded Google Maps load only after you choose Accept all in our cookies and external content notice.

After acceptance, the YouTube player loads when you press Play. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed mode, which does not eliminate third-party processing. Loading or playing a video may allow Google and YouTube to process device, network, viewing, and interaction information or use browser storage under their own privacy practices.

After acceptance, some property pages display a keyless Google Maps preview as it approaches the visible area. This contacts Google before you open the larger map. Google may process network, device and interaction information under its own policies. Declining keeps these previews and YouTube embeds off. Links that you choose to open on Google Maps or YouTube take you to those external websites. Map pins are location aids, not property boundaries or surveys.

Cookies and browser choices

One notice controls optional Google Analytics, Google Maps embeds, YouTube thumbnails and video players. Accept all permits these services and their optional cookies or browser storage; Analytics also requires our site’s measurement setting to be enabled. Decline optional keeps all of them off. Browsing, property photos and sending an inquiry still work. Essential website operation and your saved privacy choice are separate from these optional services. Acceptance does not subscribe you to property-update emails. We save a versioned accepted or declined choice in your browser’s local storage; if storage is blocked, the choice lasts for this visit.

Analytics uses first-party cookies, including cookies whose names start with _ga, and processes technical and interaction information such as browser/device type, approximate location, sessions, public page views, public property identifiers, contact-link clicks and inquiries accepted by our email service. Acceptance does not prove final inbox delivery. We do not send inquiry names, email addresses, phone numbers, message text, typed searches or subscription tokens to Analytics. We do not use Analytics to identify individual visitors. Consent choices and browser blocking limit what is measured.

Use Cookie preferences in the footer at any time to change your choice. Declining stops further Analytics collection, removes embedded maps and video players, stops loading YouTube thumbnails, and clears accessible first-party Analytics cookies. This does not erase data already collected by Google; contact us about privacy requests. Our website cannot delete cookies or storage belonging to Google or YouTube on their own domains, or undo earlier external requests. Your browser settings can also control cookies and storage.

Advertising consent is denied in our integration. We do not enable Google signals or advertising personalization for this measurement. See Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner sites and Google Analytics privacy and data safeguards.

Our website does not currently change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. External services may respond differently and follow their own policies.

Retention and privacy requests

We currently retain inquiry emails and subscription records without a fixed deletion schedule. Property discussions can continue over several years. Expired confirmation links cannot be used to subscribe. Email providers may also retain service records and backups under their own practices.

The current Analytics property settings retain event data for two months and user data for fourteen months, with the user-data period reset by new activity. These controls do not set the retention of most standard aggregate reports. Google processes Analytics data under its own policies. We review these settings separately from our inquiry and subscription records.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided, email guilherme@lookforlots.com. We may need to confirm your identity. Some records may need to be retained for ongoing transactions, legal obligations, or legal claims. This policy does not limit rights available under applicable law.
